You can now book a PEI Birding Experience that best fits your itinerary and schedule while visitng PEI. We offer customized birding tours of 4 hours, 8 hours or 2 full days.

PEI birding is unique: within a short distance and timeframe you can observe forest birds, waterfowl and shorebirds while experiencing picturesque PEI.

We cater to beginner and intermediate level birders who would like to experience a varied selection of birds and diverse habitats, including freshwater and saltwater marshes, hardwood and coniferous forests, estuaries, fields, and seaside shores. We customize our tours to your preferences and time allotted. Shorter 4 hours tours may not allow visits to more than one or two habitate areas. 

For those of you who have not had the opportunity to discover Prince Edward Island, its beauty, its people, and its nature, you are in for a treat. The countryside, a diverse mix of river valleys, woodlots, farmland, estuaries, marshes, and sand beaches, has attracted more than 330 species of birds.  Eastern PEI is a rural landscape dotted with quaint, delightful harbour villages and many natural white and red sand beaches..

Your PEI Birding Experience starts for as little as $65/person (group of four) and includes: a local professional guide, equipped with a viewing scope, transportation from and back to Country Charm B&B in Murray Harbour, PEI birding checklist, a completed sighting list, water, bug spray (just in case) and snacks.  Get hands on experience with the birding scope and bird identification.  Bring your own binoculars if you can.. 48 hour notice is highly recommended. With shorter notices we cannot guarantee that our guide will be available. Please book as far in advance as possible to avoid disappointment.

Forest and Stream Cottages and Country Charm B&B are nestled on 20 acres of mixed forest just west of the fishing village of Murray Harbour. The property is host to a kilometer-long, spring-fed lake whose exit stream flows into a tidal saltwater flat. The lake and wooded area around the lake isis a magnet to birdlife, including Belted Kingfishers, Wood Ducks, Common Mergansers, Bald Eagles, Great Blue Herons, wide variety of Warblers, Finches, Woodpeckers and many song birds.
