Directions to Country Charm Bed & Breakfast

First things first! If you don't have a map of PEI stop at the first Visitor information Center and pick one up; they are free. Vistitor information centres will have a full PEI map and they should also have a Points East Coastal Drive map which will give you better detail of the eastern part of PEI. Both maps are available at our front desk as well.

Don't be fooled by the map size! Distances look longer than they really are! Prince Edward Island is small and it is not really far to anywhere.

Charlottetown to Country Charm Bed & Breakfast

The following directions starts from where the Charlottetown By-pass reconnects with highway 1 (Trans Canada Hwy) on the east side of Charlottetown at the intersection of Grafton Street (Trans Canada Hwy) and Water Street. (Hillsborough River Bridge).

If you are traveling from the bridge follow signs to Charlottetown and then watch for signs for the by-pass, which will take you to the start of these directions.

First Leg - 27.4 km Intersection of Grafton Street (Trans Canada Hwy) and Water Street to Hwy 210

Follow signs for Trans Canada Route 1 over the causeway (Hillsborough River). Follow signs to Wood Islands Ferry.
Stay to the right at the Highway 3 intersection and continue following signs to Wood Islands.
At highway 210 turn left following signs to Kinross. Follow 210 to T-Intersection, Highway 24.

Second Leg - 27.4 km Intersection of 210 and Highway 24 to Murray River

Turn right off 210 onto highway 24 (south) and follow signs to Murray River. You will have to stop at highway 315, and then continue on highway 24 south.
After a fairly sharp bend to the left, watch for the sign to Murray River. You will have to make a 90-degree turn to the right to continue on 24.
Continue on 24 - you will enter the town of Murray River.
Follow the road through the town, across the bridge, and up the hill.
Turn left on highway 18. Bakery on the corner.

Third Leg - 4.5 km Highway 18 in Murray River follow signs to Country Charm B&B / Forest and Stream Cottages

You are now traveling east toward Murray Harbour.

Travel 4.5 km and turn right onto Fox River Road.
Just before turning onto Fox River Road you will see a road sign indicating right hand turn for Country Charm B&B and Forest and Stream Cottages.
Come to the end of the short road. (500 meters)
If you should miss Fox River Road and see the town sign for Murray Harbour you missed us by 100 meters.
Turn around, come back and take the fist left.

Traveling the speed limit you will reach us from the start point in about 45 - 50 minutes.

Wood Island Ferry to Country Charm Bed & Breakfast

After leaving the ferry follow the road a few hundred yards and turn right on highway 4 east to Murray Harbour / Murray River.

Watch for the signs directing you to Murray River. You will make a left hand turn staying on highway 4. The road continues east but becomes highway 18. This will get you there as well but it is a liitle shorter by turn left, staying on highway 4 to Murray River.

When you get to the first intersection in Murray River Turn right on highway 18. There will be a bakery on that corner on your right hand side.

Continue on 18 east towards Murray Harbour. About 4 kms you will see the road signs that says Country Charm B&B and another that says Forest and Stream Cottages. Take the next right. (Fox River Road) This road is small so it is easy to miss. If you see the sign that says Welcome to Murray Harbour, then you missed our road by 100 meters. Turn around, go back to the next interection andturn left this time. Come all the way to the end of the road, about 500 meters.

Traveling the speed limit you will reach us in about 15 - 20 minutes.
