Winter Wonderland: January to April

This will definitely put some colour in your cheeks! What could be better? Beautiful white snow, the quiet forest with a scattering of rabbit and fox tracks throughout the trees. Keep alert; you may see one!

We supply the snow shoes. You will need to bring boots and appropriate clothing and you're good-to-go. We have trails through our 20 acres of mixed forest or you can be adventuresome and cut your own. Our cut trails are also great for X-Country skiing, ( you'll have to supply your own gear for this). And there is our lake for skating! Of course all of these activities are subject to weather conditions..

After a full day of activity, warm up with a cup of hot chocolate and into the hot tub to relax those muscles. Get your taste buds ready for a 4 course dinner of your choice. Sleep in as long as you like and then back to the table for a full breakfast that will get you through the day.

Nothing beats fresh PEI lobster right off the boat!
Join us, be pampered and enjoy your first feed of market lobster in 2009.

Arrive mid afternoon on your first day. Enjoy a lemonade in our gazebo and we can provide you with some great touring tips and definate places to see and experience during your visit to eatern PEI. We will provide you with a free Points East Coastal Drive Raly Guide and tell you about some of our secret beaches where you can quietly stroll and maybe find some beach glass.

Enjoy supper in one of the local restaraunts, and join us for a tea or coffee and cookies before retiring for the evening.

Awake the next morning to a full gourmet breakfast. Start out with fresh fruit cup, rolls, muffins, croissants, juice, tea, and coffee and a choice of two hot entrees. You will not be eating lunch after one of our breakfasts!

Start your PEI Lobser Dinner experience with a trip to the wharf around noon. Meet the lobster boat and watch them unload the days catch. We will choose our lobsters then hop aboard the boat to take a short ride from Machon Point to Murray Harbour. While on board you will learn about the boat, how to measure, grade and sex the lobsters.

Back home, together we will prepare the lobster for your feast. Learn the secrets of how to best prepare and cook the lobster.

Just before you sit down to your appetizer we will drop the lobsters in the pot so they can steam while you enjoy your succulent world famous PEI blue mussels. We steam our mussels in white wine and top them off with a cream marinara sauce. If you wish, you can take home our recipes for PEI Mussels in Marinara sauce and drunken mussels. Mussels are served with garlic toast.

While you are enjoying your mussels we will pass on some mussel trivia and information on how the mussels are farmed in the rivers around PEI.

Then on to the best part! Lobster!! The lobster will be served in Island tradition with potato salad, coleslaw, and fresh rolls. For the inexperienced we will give you tips on how to tackle the chore of getting at the scrumptious meat. A decadent dessert is served with tea or coffee to complete your meal.

After dinner relax with a movie or enjoy the hot tub before retiring to bed. The next morning another gourmet breakfast awaits you.

Two night Lobster Dinner Getaway $415 per couple

One night package: Start your romantic escape by arriving early afternoon to a glass of champagne and chocolate covered strawberries. Relax in your room with a book or a movie, take a walk on our trails, skate on our lake, cross-country ski, or snow shoe (we supply the snowshoes).

Dinner is a 4-course meal prepared especially for you (menu will be discussed at time off booking). Relax and enjoy private, quality time in our hot tub with your partner amidst the candle lit ambience of our enclosed gazebo. Sleep in as long as you like - no checkout time for our getaways! Start your morning off with coffee or tea in your room if. Choose your breakfast from our superb breakfast menu.

We can customize and enhance your escape package with a number of options: extra nights, (extra night pricing below), flowers for the room, wine tour at Rossignal Winery when available, night at a local ceilidh, or a decadent chocolate fountain with authentic Belgian chocolate. Our birding tours are designed for the intermediate and beginner birder who would like to experience a wide selection of birds and diverse habitats which include wetlands, mixed and coniferous forest.

Admire the spectacular fall landscapes flying above the beautiful coastline of PEI with Tartan Air! This package provides a stunning view from onboard Tartan Air's pontooned Cessna. You will fly at 500 to 700 feet above the fall landscape along the east coast of PEI.

After your half hour flight, enjoy a personal wine tour at Rossignol Winery with wine-tasting and complimentary bottle of wine. Arriving back at Country Charm B&B, you will be pampered in this secluded, tranquil setting surrounded by 20 acres of fall colours.
